Yesterday, I was chatting with some edtech friends about some of their favorite resources/tools that they’ve been using in the classroom lately. A few came up that I had not yet heard of (which I will be talking about in the next couple of posts) but the one that stood out to me was Museum Box.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of museums. All of that information in one place? It’s amazing! Museum Box provides you with the tools to showcase descriptions of an event, person, historical period of time, or …

It never ceases to amaze me how many new tech tools are shared throughout Personal Learning Networks (PLN). We had another great day via Twitter for #web20wednesday – and I’m excited to share! So, let’s jump into it.
Howard (@socratech) shared a new tool (to me) for video editing – JayCut. If you check out the demo on their site, it sort of has an iMovie feel to it and it’s really easy! You can add videos, images, audio, transitions, effects, and more! Be sure to check out JayCut today, and …

Well, I have to say day 1 of the FETC conference was a blast! It was great to finally get down there, attend some sessions, meet some awesome people, and find some great resources. Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you’ve enjoyed your holidays and are ready to start the New Year with some awesome tech tools!
First one up – Odosketch! I have to admit, on first glance, I thought it took photo’s that you upload and made them sketches, but in fact it does not. It’s literally a blank canvas that you use your mouse to create sketches! You can change colors, erase, reload, or really whatever you like to do! It’s super easy (I definitely tried it out!) – so get Odosketch …

The first #web20wednesday tech tool I’m lovin’ is ClassTools. ClassTools allows you to create free educational games, activities, and diagrams – easily! You can then host them on your own personal blog, website or intranet! And guess what? (This is the part I really love) It’s free! And you don’t have to worry about coming up with how your game or activity will look – they have templates for you to choose from! I thought the hamburger template was pretty funny…or maybe I’m already thinking about lunch? Who knows! Enjoy …

Many of you, including us, have websites – classroom blogs, personal blogs, resource pages, etc…and if you’re anything like me, I stare so long at the computer that sometimes the easiest words get spelled incorrectly and it just slips right on by. This site, Spellr.us, allows you to just type in your website URL and it CHECKS THE SPELLING FOR YOU! How awesome is that! There is a free trial so definitely check that one out – hey, we’re all busy during the day…who wouldn’t want to make life a …
