Are Your Students Getting the Most Out of Your Science Class?
When you think of online discussions, subjects like English, literature, and history usually come to mind first. If you're a science teacher and have been wanting to revamp your classroom discussions, I have just the thing for you.
Collaborize Classroom has a free PDF that's full of ready-to-use ideas on how to inspire discussion and collaboration in an online science classroom. Use them for your online discussions, or adapt them to be used in your traditional classroom!
One thing that I found especially helpful in this PDF was the idea to upload lab directions online so your students could see them before it was actually time to perform the lab.
I remember always having to rush through labs as a student to try to get them done in the allotted time. We wasted so much time just figuring out how to set up the lab. I now realize that this could have been completely avoided if my teachers had simply uploaded the lab procedures online so I could view them the night before class.
Are you a science teacher that doesn't have an online learning platform for your students yet? Collaborize Classroom has you covered there too. Check out SimpleK12's page to learn all about Collaborize Classroom and sign up for your free online classroom.
I hope you enjoy the download,
