Over the years, as a parent I’ve spent hundreds (well… maybe thousands) of dollars on my kids’ school fundraisers.
And, if you’re a parent, you know the routine… the band is working for its trip to the state finals, the volleyball team is earning some extra money so they can go to a special summer sports camp, or the PTA is raising money to buy new furniture for the school library.
All wonderful and worthy causes, and they deserve our support.
However, I’ve long wondered why our school fundraisers have to sell candy …
